1. Agreement

“These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Project: Alter Ego website and its public content. Project: Alter Ego is a creative property created and owned by Joshua J. Karpilo and administered through Karpilo Creative Studios, a division of Karpilo Endeavor Technologies LLC. By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.”

2. Ownership

“Except where third-party ownership is identified, the original and legally protectable content presented through this website—including music, lyrics, sound recordings, films, videos, artwork, photography, graphics, written copy, philosophical texts, visual treatments, logos, and website design—is owned by Joshua J. Karpilo, presented as Project: Alter Ego, or used under authorization from the applicable rights holder. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.”

The Project: Alter Ego name, associated logos, slogans, and visual identifiers are proprietary brand identifiers. No right to use them is granted by access to this website.

3. Limited Permission

“You may access and view the website for personal, lawful, and noncommercial purposes. You may share direct links to public Project: Alter Ego pages and use the official sharing functions provided by authorized platforms.”

No other license is granted.

4. Prohibited Uses

“Except where permitted by applicable law or authorized in writing by the rights holder, you may not copy, reproduce, download, rip, record, republish, upload, distribute, transmit, sell, license, publicly perform, publicly display, synchronize, sample, remix, adapt, translate, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit Project: Alter Ego content.”

You may not remove copyright notices, credits, metadata, or rights-management information; extract audio or video from embedded players; include content in commercial datasets; use content in machine-learning or generative-AI training datasets; fine-tune models using Project: Alter Ego content; create unauthorized voice cloning or digital-replica content; engage in automated scraping that violates these Terms or technical access controls; impersonate Project: Alter Ego or its creator; or make false claims of affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict fair use, fair dealing, or any other right that cannot lawfully be waived or restricted.

5. Music, Audio, and Video

“Musical compositions and sound recordings are separate protected works. Access to a song, sound recording, music video, or embedded player does not transfer ownership or grant a license to reproduce, sample, synchronize, remix, distribute, publicly perform, or commercially use the work.”

Playback and viewing offered through Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube, YouTube Music, TIDAL, Deezer, iHeartRadio, and other third-party platforms are governed by those platforms’ terms.

Do not extract or download audio or video except through an authorized platform feature that expressly permits the download.

6. Third-Party Services

“The website contains links to and may display content supplied by third-party services. Project: Alter Ego does not control those services, their availability, their data practices, or their terms. A link or embed does not imply ownership of, endorsement by, or responsibility for the third-party service.”

Third-party names, logos, and marks remain the property of their respective owners.

7. Communications

When you contact Project: Alter Ego, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that your message does not infringe another person’s rights, contain malicious code, or violate applicable law.

8. Availability and Disclaimer

“The website and its content are provided on an ‘as available’ basis. Project: Alter Ego does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, freedom from technical errors, or permanent availability of third-party links and embedded content.”

To the fullest extent permitted by law, no warranty is made that the website will meet every visitor’s requirements or remain available without interruption.

9. Limitation of Liability

“To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Project: Alter Ego, Joshua J. Karpilo, Karpilo Creative Studios, KDBS | Karpilo Decibels, and Karpilo Endeavor Technologies LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the website or third-party services linked from it.”

Nothing in these Terms limits liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Governing Law

“These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that may lawfully be subject to a Colorado forum will be brought in the appropriate state or federal court in Colorado. Mandatory consumer protections available in a visitor’s home jurisdiction remain unaffected.”

“These Terms may be updated when the website, its services, or applicable legal requirements change. The current version and its effective date will be posted on this page.”
